CHRONO24 ADDS AI WATCH SCANNER APP
Online watch retailer Chrono24 has released the new
Watch Scanner in their smartphone app. This feature
can identify a watch and display its current market value
with one photo.
The Watch Scanner compares the photo with around
15,000 watches in Chrono24’s database and then
presents the user with the timepiece’s brand, model,
and a price estimate based on the listings on Chrono24.
Users can also choose to create an auto-filled listing
and sell the watch on Chrono24 or add the watch to
their Watch Collection and track its performance.
The tool can now identify 15,000 different watch
models, allowing users to search for and sell luxury
watches with a single click of their smartphone camera.
The Chrono24 Watch Scanner is now available in the
Chrono24 app for iOS and Android.
THE HYPE JOINS
BASELWORLD
About fifteen independent watch
brands that previously exhibited as
‘The Hype’ in a hotel near the show
will join Baselworld in 2020 and
will be grouped together under the
banner “The Watch Lounge.” The
Watch Lounge will complement Les
Ateliers (which brings together
independent watchmakers) and the
redesigned Watch Gallery, which
includes companies that range from
start-ups to established brands that
want to expand their distribution.
According to Roderich Hess and
James Henderson, organizers of the
Watch Lounge, their concept aims to
present a more informal atmosphere
that will gather more than fifteen
brands with media and collectors in a
“relaxed and interactive way.”
