DIALED IN Horological News HSNY ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR 2020 GALA CITIZEN PAYS TRIBUTE TO STAN LEE To commemorate Marvel’s 80th Anniversary, Citizen late last year introduced the first limited edition watch featuring the late Stan Lee. Citizen collaborated with Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment to give tribute to the legend behind Marvel Comics and to pay homage to his legacy. Lee was responsible for co-creating many iconic characters in the Marvel Universe such as The Hulk, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Daredevil and the X-Men. Limited to 1,922 pieces to commemorate Lee’s birth year, the Stan Lee watch features a black dial with printed gradient patterns. Stan Lee’s signature and silhouette are also featured on the dial. The case back is etched with “Excelsior!” in Stan’s signature writing. This timepiece comes in a collectible Stan Lee cylinder holder. Price: $595 exclusively online at  www.citizenwatch.com The Horological Society of New York (HSNY) is soliciting donations for HSNY’s 2020 Charity Auction. HSNY is now accepting donations of watches, clocks, and horological ephemera for the Gala & Charity Auction, which will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. The charity auction is the Society’s largest fundraising event of the year, providing significant support for the ongoing horological education programs being offered here in New York City and across the country. All donations are completely tax deductible.  WATCHES & WONDERS MIAMI POSTPONED TO 2021 The next edition of Watches & Wonders Miami will take place February 12-14, 2021, not in 2020. The move to postpone the 2020 event reflects a strategic decision taken by the FHH to focus all efforts on the debut of the new Watches & Wonders Geneva concept. That event, which re-configures the former SIHH show, is scheduled for the upcoming April 25 to 29 in Geneva. The timing of the 2021 show will coincide with Presidents Day weekend, which the FHH says will enable it to deliver the optimal experience for attendees and partner brands, as well as allow for continued partnership with the Miami Concours and Miami Yacht Show.
