BOUTIQUE F.P. JOURNE Centigraph Sport With interval timing to 1/100th of a second, the Centigraph Sport pushes the limits of mechanical capabilities in what might be considered the ultimate sports watch. The Patented rocker mechanism replaces the usual chronograph buttons with an ergonomic and instinctive functionality. A patented mechanism isolates the chronograph from the timekeeping function. This allows the balance amplitude to remain isolated and unaffected when the chronograph is in use. The hands of the 100th-of-a-second counter, the 20-seconds counter, and the 10-minutes counter are driven by separate wheel trains, themselves driven by the center of the mainspring. The 100th of a second’s hand, released by the watch’s escapement, makes one revolution of the dial per second. The seconds are driven by the going train from the barrel, and by the energy of the chronograph train, as transmitted by the barrel arbor. The barrel features a system that ensures that the driving force does not decrease during winding. Crafted in an anthracite color on grade five titanium, the Centigraph retail price is $59,000 with 30% of the profits going to charitable research.
