AUDEMARS PIGUET
AUDEMARS PIGUET WILL BE CELEBRATING THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY of the Royal Oak Offshore and for 2018
presents three new versions of the sports watch: a re-edition of the original Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding
Chronograph, as well as a brand new Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph with a contemporary dial
design developed in two versions. The re-edition of the original Royal Oak Offshore is a special series avail-
able in either stainless steel or 18-karat pink gold, each one limited to 50 pieces. The new Royal Oak Offshore
Tourbillon Chronograph features an entirely redesigned movement with the crown and push pieces are now
crafted in ceramic instead of metal and rubber.
In addition, Audemars Piguet has expanded its Millenary collection. In 2018, new ‘second-skin type’ metal
bracelets are added to the white and pink gold cases launched in 2015. The case and dial remain unchanged;
however, the bracelet’s so-called Polish finishing gives the new watches a vintage look that matches the
oval shape of the case and the Roman numerals on the dial. The watches feature Milanese bracelets with the
same type of finish—the result of rolling-up a thread around an axis. This thread creates a regular alternation,
whereas on the Milanese bracelet, the wires are all threaded in the same direction. Each bracelet is individu-
ally handmade.
In addition to the metal bracelets, the Millenary line is also enriched by a new version featuring an opal
dial as well as models with the Frosted Gold finishing technique, which Audemars Piguet has only used on
the Royal Oak collection in the past.
