BREGUET MOVES BOUTIQUE
In late November Breguet debuted the reopening of its New York flagship store on Fifth Avenue, which moved to the St. Regis Hotel. Guests discovered an entirely renovated salon, featuring a new architectural concept. Spanning 240 square meters, the new boutique exudes heritage and craftsmanship--even the frosted glass includes guilloche imagery. The event featured a watchmaker demonstrating the art of guilloche on watch dials, as well as two specialty timepieces. The first is the replica of Winston Churchill’ s“ turnip,” created for the movie“ Darkest Hour” starring Gary Oldman as Churchill. The second is a pocket watch from 1817, one of the original thirty-five tourbillon made by A.-L. Breguet during his lifetime.
CITIZEN SPONSORS FIGURE SKATING
Citizen is celebrating three and a half decades as the longest-running sponsor of the International Skating Union( ISU). Following the successful Skate Canada event in October 2017 and the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2017 / 2018 in Nagoya, Japan, Citizen will continue as the official sponsor of six competitions in the 2017 / 2018 season. The series concludes with the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2018 in Milan on March 19-25, 2018.

Founded in 2005 by Audemars Piguet, Girard-Perregaux and the Richemont Group, The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie( FHH) considers itself the primary body for the promotion and safeguard of Fine Watchmaking around the world. To support these activities, the Foundation has succeeded in bringing together a majority of the leading names in both traditional and contemporary watchmaking. In October 2017, this number expanded by thireen brands, bringing the number of partners to 42 in total. IWC AUCTIONS THE‘ LITTLE PRINCE’
Sotheby’ s on November 12 auctioned an IWC Big Pilot’ s Watch Annual Calendar Edition“ Le Petit Prince” for 38,000 Swiss francs, a portion of which benefits the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation in order to boost its expansion into the USA and reach its goal of offering training and educational projects to even more young people throughout the world. This unique piece has a blued movement and an ornate, hand-painted rotor, adorned with a blue floral pattern, which takes the form of the little prince – from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’ s story“ Le Petit Prince” – on an asteroid.
