IWC PILOT’S WATCH MARK XVIII This special version of the Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII features the original design of the historic Pilot’s Watch Mark 11. In reference to the year in which the first Mark 11 was produced, IWC will make 1,948 of the new watches. The model differs from the Mark XVIII from the current collection in that the indices are thinner and the triangular index at 12 o’clock is not flanked by two dots. Like the original from 1948, the watch is worn on a green ‘NATO’ textile strap. Price: $4,150 NOMOS METRO NEOMATIK 39 SILVERCUT In another example of Nomos’ less-is-more approach to design, the new Silvercut has a 38.5mm steel case with a rhodium-plated, brush-finished dial devoid of excess. Inside is the DUW 3001 in-house caliber with automatic winding and the Nomos Swing System escapement. Price: $3,840 MTM The MTM Black 3-GER features COSC certified Valjoux 7750 inside a solid titanium 46mm case. Four optional colors of DLC coating are available including grey, silver, black and gold. One unusual feature of the 3-GER is the ability to raise the protective bezel 1mm by simply rotating it - handy for those times when the watch may be exposed to extra punishment. A unique bracelet incorporates links connected via machined and polished steel ball bearings – or alternatively MTM offers a version with links connected with blue sapphire bearings (above).
