The Ulysse Nardin Marine Mega Yacht’s 44mm platinum case frames what appears to be a yacht cutting through the mist.
completed.
Also made in three dimensions, the engraved Moon that comprises
the moon phase indicator at the left of the dial is made from two half-
spheres. One is treated in blue PVD (for the period of the new moon) and
the other layered with rhodium to simulate the illumination of the Sun.
Adjacent to the Moon is the tide scale, which the user can adjust via
the crown. Ulysse Nardin has opened up the side of the case to create
window that displays all the watch’s various adjustment positions: S is
the set position for setting the hands while in the TM position the user
can set the tide and Moon and in the W position he or she can wind
the movement.

CLARET CALIBER
Ulysse Nardin employed complication master Christophe Claret to design
the Marine Mega Yacht ‘s manually wound manufacture caliber. The Claret
movement, boasting 504 components, guarantees a power reserve of
eighty hours at a ‘cruising speed’ of 21,600 vph. Visible through the watch’s
transparent sapphire case-back, the movement is designed to resemble yacht
engines.
Finally, in part to underscore the fact that only thirty nautically inclined
watch lovers will own a Ulysse Nardin Marine Mega Yacht, buyers can engrave
a name, yacht name or motto on the side of the platinum case.
Price: $310,000.
