HORLOGICON WATCH SHOW SET FOR SEPTEMBER
OROLOGICON, A NEW WATCH SHOW,
touted as “The Consumer Festival of
Watches & Horology,” is slated for
September 6 to 8, 2019, at the River Pavilion at the
Javits Center in New York City. This multi-layered
event will offer watch and accessory brands, vintage
dealers, horological connoisseurs and the general
consumers a variety of experiences intended to “fan
a collective passion.” Led by events guru and avid
watch enthusiast Dan Read, alongside Clarion UX,
the three-day event will not only cater to the current
watch community, but will “inclusively engage a
vastly large, new audience who don’t yet know the
way in,” according to organizers.
The show’s early supporters include Grand Seiko,
Oris, Frederique Constant, Alpina, Farer Universal,
Fiona Krüger Timepieces and Watches of Switzer-
land. The RedBar Group of watch collectors will
serve as Community Engagement partner for the
event. Attendees will have the opportunity to view,
learn and interface with key players in the watch
industry. Through specially devised content tracks,
collector presentations and networking events,
HorologiCon 2019 will allow attendees to “build
their own adventure.” Furthermore, watch enthusi-
asts will be able to acquire watches– providing
participating small and large brands with a totally
new market opportunity. For details, see
