SIHH 2018 Excalibur Aventador S Blue ROGER DUBUIS ROGER DUBUIS CONTINUES TO FOCUS ON ITS LAMBORGHINI SQUADRA CORSE PARTNERSHIP by debuting two new 45mm Excalibur Adventador S skele- tonized watches. One, the Excalibur Aventador S Blue, is made from the same C-SMC carbon as that used on the actual Lamborghini cars. The sporty piece is held to the wrist with a black and blue bi-material strap (with a quick-release clasp). The blue color code is maintained by the blue rubber over-molding on the case and crown and blue markings on the fluted carbon bezel. Eighty-eight will be made. The second debut, the Excalibur Adventador S Pink Gold, is a limited edition of 28 pieces made with a pink gold bezel atop its carbon case. Both watches utilize Roger Dubuis’ contemporary high-tech skeletonized RD103SQ caliber with dual inclined Double sprung balances with a differential. Each balance vibrates at 4 hz, both powering a jump-second time display to emphasize its heightened precision. The movement is the brand’s first jumping second model; Roger Dubuis has received five patents for the RD103SQ. And as is always the case at Roger Dubuis, both these watches are stamped with the Geneva Seal. Also look for new hues within the firm’s Excalibur Spider Pirelli collection. New this year: an Excalibur Spider Skeleton Automatic Pirelli in black titanium with a choice of deep blue or white accents. Excalibur Adventador S Pink Gold 112 | INTERNATIONAL WATCH | SPRING 2018
