GRAND OPENING FOR GRAND SEIKO AT LITTLE TREASURY
ittle Treasury Jewelers in Gambrills, Maryland, has been selected to open the second in-store Grand Seiko boutique
in the Americas, and the only one East of the Mississippi River.
The Grand Seiko Boutique at Little Treasury offers the full international collection, incorporating Seiko’s proprietary 9
Series mechanical, quartz and Spring Drive movements that are exclusive to Grand Seiko.
Since its creation in 1960, Grand Seiko has made a distinct and innovative contribution to the luxury watch market, with
hand-made timepieces of the very highest levels of precision and refinement.
Grand Seiko watches are hand made in two studios in Japan dedicated to the art of fine watchmaking. Little Treasury owners
Steve and Linda Hammalian, along with five other dealers, were selected to visit these facilities in Japan this past October as
part of the first Grand Seiko VIP Tour for authorized dealers. Steve Hammalian observed, “We are honored to have been
selected to visit Grand Seiko and now to host this Boutique in our store. Grand Seiko is one of the most dynamically growing
luxury watch brands in the U.S. and we are very proud to be authorized dealers.”
The timing of the Little Treasury in-store boutique opening is propitious. Last year, Grand Seiko was given complete indepen-
dence and is now an entirely separate brand with its own unique appeal, distinct design and
exclusive technologies. To symbolize this transformation, the Grand Seiko logo is now proudly
presented at the twelve o’clock position on the dial of every new watch presented at the boutique.
The uniqueness of Grand Seiko is also now expressed in a new color scheme in which the tradi-
tional Grand Seiko blue is combined with silver, expressing the fusion of innovation and luxury
that every Grand Seiko watch offers. These colors welcome visitors to the boutique and introduce
the rich and fascinating world of Grand Seiko. The boutique is designed to allow watch aficio-
nados to explore and experience every aspect of the Grand Seiko world, from its heritage to its
design and craftsmanship.
An inauguration event will be held at Little Treasury to celebrate the opening of the boutique,
including the opportunity for guests to sample Japanese whiskeys, sake and sushi. Grand Seiko
aficionados are encouraged to wear their favorite Grand Seiko.
