BLANCPAIN
FIFTY FATHOMS BATHYSCAPHE
DAY DATE 70S
The dial of this new limited-edition watch captures the look of the
70s model with its day of the week and date indications at 3
o’clock. As with the vintage piece, this new model has a subtle
graduated gray coloring, darker on the outer perimeter and lighter
tones toward the center. The 43mm satin-finished case is equipped
with an unidirectional bezel featuring a ceramic insert whose
indexes are filled with Liquidmetal. Available with a vintage-style
antiqued leather, sail-canvas or NATO strap, as well as a steel
bracelet. Limited to 500 pieces, Price: Starting at about $14,600.
G-SHOCK
RANGEMAN
The new Casio G-Shock Rangeman GPRB1000 features solar-
assisted GPS navigation, which combines with a Triple Sensor (to
measure compass bearing, atmospheric pressure/altitude and
temperature). It’s also now capable of GPS navigation—a first for a
G-Shock watch. The watch collects location data from GPS satellites
to display the current location on a route or bearing to a destination,
in real-time. The watch also saves track and point data (including
longitude/latitude, altitude, and temperature) in memory. The two
new Rangeman models are each priced at $800.
BULOVA
ARCHIVE SERIES OCEANOGRAPHER
Inspired by the water-resistant timepieces Bulova supplied to the
U.S. military for years, this limited edition of 666 reprises the
original ‘Devil Diver,’ named because its dial stated its water
resistance on the dial as 666 feet rather than 200m. This
non-limited version is larger than the orange-dialed limited edition
seen earlier this year (44mm versus 40mm) and sports a black dial
with a red/blue bezel. Powered with a Miyota automatic caliber, the
watch will sell for $895 on its Fall 2018 release.
