ROGER
DUBUIS
EXCALIBUR SPIDER
CARBON AUTOMATIC
SKELETON
ROGER DUBUIS ADDS A COMPANION PIECE to the brilliant red and
black Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Carbon that debuted this past
January at SIHH. The new Excalibur Spider Carbon Automatic Skeleton
off ers complementary red and black markings and an almost equally
lightweight case. Instead of the manual-wind tourbillon of that premiere
SIHH example, this new watch off ers Caliber 820SQ, Roger Dubuis’
impressive skeletonized micro-rotor automatic caliber that debuted two
years ago, which can be found inside other Excalibur Automatic Skeleton
watches. And of course, the watch meets all the requirements of the
Geneva Seal.
The new 45mm watch, with a carbon-titanium case, retains the color
codes of the earlier tourbillon model by featuring black DLC titanium
elements off set by contrasting red touches. The new Automatic also
highlights its powerful micro-rotor, a specialty component for Roger
Dubuis, with the slogan ‘Winding System’ and distinctive red markings
along its perimeter. Absent is the carbon honeycomb décor between the
plate and the bridges seen on the earlier example. Made in an 88-piece
limited edition.
