Highlights of the evening included a silent auction complete with a custom piece created by Provident Jewelry, meet and greets with NFL stars and Super Bowl winners Bart Oates and Lawrence “L.T.” Taylor, as well as live music from local artist Mister Trombone.  “Provident Jewelry is pleased to be able to partner with such a worthy cause of protecting our youth,” said Seth Berman, managing partner of Provident Jewelry. “As a parent myself, I want my child to be safe while having fun and staying active.”   The 13th Man Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to youth sports safety. The goal is to put nurses, doctors, and EMTs on the sidelines of youth sporting events so that every kid playing youth sports can be treated immediately by a professional in case of an injury. The nurses, doctors, and EMTs have the right to pull a kid out of a game if deemed necessary and will advise parents whether the kid needs further medical assistance thereafter.   “Nothing is more important than the safety of young athletes,” said Larry Meistrich, co-founder of the 13th Man Foundation. “If you’re a parent with a child who plays youth sports, please contact your league and tell them to register so that 13th Man representatives can be on the sideline of your kid’s games.” 38 | INTERNATIONAL WATCH | SUMMER 2017 iWMAGAZINE .COM
