GREUBEL FORSEY
Double Balancier Sapphire
Exclusively for the North American market,
the beautifully finished timepiece features
a 47.25mm by 13.81mm case entirely made
of sapphire crystal, which the company says
required more than 900 hours of machining.
First debuted ten years ago, the Double Balan-
cier offers two fixed oscillators positioned on
inclines along two different axes. The design,
which earned two patents, minimizes the effects
of gravity and greatly enhances precision and
is on parade on the front of the watch thanks
to the partially open format of the dial design.
The balance of the dial is formed of a mirror-
polished deep blue segment hosting a power
reserve indicating running time remaining for
the exceptional 72 hour run time. This particular
example of horological excellence is available in
North America as an exclusively limited edition
of eleven pieces.
Price: $695,000
