This model , SLA059 , is not a limited edition and is cased in a single piece of high-impact , hard-coated stainless steel . Where the blue edition is attached to a black rubber strap , the burgundy-dialed model arrives with options . It ’ s set on a stainless steel bracelet with super-hard coating , tri-fold push button release clasp with slide adjuster but also comes with a black silicone strap .

PROFESSIONAL SPECS As the Prospex name describes , both watches are built to professional specifications . Each is water resistant to 300 meters and is set with the an anti-reflective sapphire crystal , date window and screw-down crown . The black ceramic uni-directional elapsed timing bezel provides the watch ’ s ISO-standard level of added security on deep dives while Seiko ’ s famed LumiBrite coats all the hands , markers and bezel accents .
Seiko powers each watch with its own 8L35 automatic movement designed specifically with added torque for dive watches . The caliber is created and assembled at Seiko ’ s Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Japan ’ s Iwate Prefecture where sixty master craftsmen design and test Seiko ’ s top movements .
The Seiko Prospex “ Seigaiha ” Limited Edition SLA053 ($ 3,200 , limited edition of 500 ) is already available . The burgundy dialed Special Edition SLA059 ($ 3,300 ) will be available in November 2021 . And remember , both watches are being sold exclusively in the United States .
