T he results are in for the 2022 award-bestowing Grand Prix d ’ Horologie de Geneve ( GPHG ), held on November 10 in Geneva ’ s Théâtre du Léman .
As usual , the highly anticipated event was a memorable affair . And if you didn ’ t make it to Geneva , perhaps you saw all of the nominated watches on display in the U . S . at Watches of Switzerland in New York .
MB & F took home the coveted Aiguille d ’ Or award , the event ’ s top prize , for its Legacy Machine Sequential EVO . Interestingly , there were a few double winners among the evening ’ s victors .
Among them , Hermès won in both the Ladies ’ Complication and the Men ’ s Complication categories for the same model family , different sizes . Bulgari won in both the Jewellery Watch and the Audacity categories , while Van Cleef & Arpels took the prize in the Mechanical Clock and the Innovation categories . The Special Jury Prize , which recognizes a person or institution instrumental in the industry , was given to automaton maker and sculptor François Junod .
