Jaeger-LeCoultre has once again brough to life an expression of horologium that amazes the senses of both sight and sound by incorporating the dulcet tones of its own minute repeater to peal the time on demand . The watch combines the celestial sphere on the dial as well as a tourbillon that rotates on its own axis and circumnavigates the dial in a counter-clockwise direction once every sidereal day . The chime utilizes custom trebuchet-style hammers on flat gongs designed to maximize the amount of material and enhance the sound quality . Only sixteen will be commissioned : eight in rose gold ($ 390,000 ) and eight in white gold ($ 470,000 ).
