The sorority executed its first virtual combined conference in its history , the 69th Boule Part II and 2021 Leadership Seminar . The South Louisiana Cluster of the South Central Region hosted the virtual event by bringing the charms of New Orleans in a virtual setting . This year ’ s theme , Exemplifying Excellence in the Pink Easy allowed 30,000 sorors to experience the hospitality and culture of the Crescent City from wherever they were .
Furthering leadership excellence through membership education is key to growth and empowerment . The AKA University is a customized four-track approach to leadership excellence which is designed to support , empower , and elevate sorors on their personal , professional and sorority journeys . Content throughout the curriculum focused on personal growth , professional development , and an awareness of the diverse communities we serve .
The first day of the conference was filled with empowerment . Actor Anthony Anderson shared how he lives his best life with Soror Star Jones . He surprised attendees by showcasing his love and support for the sorority with his pink and green floral pants !

Soror Vanessa Bell Calloway shared her pride as a legacy family . Far Western Regional Director Shelby Boagni hosted the dialogue .
Supreme Basileus Soror Glenda Glover hosted an intimate conversation with Soror Phylicia Rashad . They also discuss the acclaimed documentary film , Twenty Pearls during the Sisterly Relations Celebration . The newly appointed Dean for the College of Fine Arts at Howard University narrated the film .
HBCU Excellence was on full display at the Public Meeting . The meeting was simulcast on Facebook and YouTube .
Eight exemplary Black women in corporate business , entertainment business , media , literature , performing arts and sports were inducted into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority , Incorporated ® ( AKA ) as honorary members at Boule .
