Hailing from a small town and having to live on a farm for most of my childhood, my love for animals was deeply embroidered into my heart from a very young age. Now at the age of 22, I get to follow my dream of being able to help animals whilst getting paid for it!

Q.2 What IVSA is for you Pieter?
I’ve been introduced to the IVSA family 2 years ago, and my only regret ever since is that I did not become involved earlier. It’s the magnificent places you get to visit, the great friends you get to make, but most importantly, the awesome memories you get to relive whilst reminiscing that makes this whole experience something that I will always cherish. Being a Secretariat opened up so many doors for me to become more actively involved on a global scale. It enabled me to reach out to many other African countries during the Symposium in South Africa, and thus I am humbled to be part of such an elite group of individuals.
