Autobiography

Depicting nature accurately in my work while maintaining a sense of
true artistry is what I strive for.
I want the World to see the flora and fauna that I appreciate in a
different light.
Bridging the gap between being a naturalist and a social
contemporary has always been my specialty.
Creating artwork that anyone can enjoy has always been my
challenge! I spent over two decades working intimately with animals
and nature.
I have seen, studied, owned, bred and cared for many species both
common and rare.
To have the ability to translate my understanding of the natural world
onto paper or canvas is a gift that I want to truly make the most of.
Ultimately, I want to create art that inspires people to want to learn
more about my subjects and experience the diversity of nature and
wildlife.
I currently reside in San Diego, CA, USA where I raise my son who is
also a budding artist and naturalist.
