For floral designers, greenery is typically the first step when creating an arrangement and often it plays a supporting character type role, with the flowers taking the lead. Lately, however, greenery has emerged as a star in its own right, with many brides opting to have bouquets and arrangements using only a mixture of green foliage as an alternative to flowers.
The possibilities are endless for adding touches of green to your wedding. For an effortlessly natural look ask your hairstylist to weave some loose, delicate pieces of greenery into your hair. Garlands juliapark. ca
or swags made of greens can easily accent your seating chart or welcome sign. If your venue has chandeliers or you’ ve rented them as part of your tent setup, adding some foliage to them always makes a beautiful statement. Alternatively, hanging garlands or larger installations above tables can help to bring the outdoors in on a grander scale. For a simple table setting, try grouping small vases together to display a collection of different green foliage like hosta leaves and ferns.
With many different varieties available, offering interesting textures, shades and shapes, there is a type of greenery that will suit your style. For a classic romantic style, opt for greenery with soft textures that has cascading, vine-like qualities such as ivy. For for a more modern, edgier look, go for greenery that has a bold shape and rich, waxy green colour like monstera and other tropical leaves.
Whether you choose to have greenery be the focal point, or more of a subtle accent, the most important thing is that your wedding should be a reflection of your style as a couple, that is what will make it truly beautiful. •
