During the Initial Contact:

Your first contact with planner will be via phone or email. Although you’ ve probably read in detail all of the planner’ s services on their website, it’ s important to ask them straight out. The answer should be easily heard for the passion, enthusiasm and excitement they have for their job and to work for you, not sound‘ canned’.

Next Steps:

If you get a sense of great connection with the planner you’ ve interviewed, the next step is to complete a contract with your planner that outlines responsibilities and expectations. The meetings you have to follow should include budget review, vendor referrals, vendor contract reviews and wedding day timeline creation to name a few.

First In-Person Interview:

The planner should come dressed to impress, engage you in conversation showing interest in you, and come well prepared with their portfolio and“ Emergency Wedding Day Kit”. Watch to see if they’ re taking notes and filling out an introductory questionnaire about your visions for your day. francesbeatty. com
