UNDISPUTED TRUTH Why Do We Want People to Accept Our Choices Even If They Are Wrong? Romans 1:25 - “Who changed the truth of God into a lie.” As human beings we have the greatest power that God has provided us and that is choice. Yet, making a choice requires us as humans to acquire specific, qualities such temperance, virtue, and brotherly kindness, these qualities are needed to make sound choices. All choices have consequences but, being able to adjust and take accountability for the choice takes character which most people are not willing to do simply because, that requires steadfastness, and purpose, which challenges our desire, understanding, and commitment to see the choice through regardless. As people we always want empathy for our choices even when they are wrong. We make decisions expecting instant, self gratification instead of looking at the long term effects and results which is more of a priority instead of what happens, here and now, can cause pain in the future and lead too many frustrations. One of the main reasons we as believers want people to accept our wrong choices is by bringing up what others have failed in their choice making which really doesn’t help you grow because you are totally responsible, for your own choice. We as the body of Christ must come to the realization that we can not accept wrong as being right. The challenge is how to be firm without being verbally abusive, to those we encounter. but, we must stop trying to be politically correct when addressing wrong choices. Sure we can respect others but, standing up for righteousness, is priority number One. We can not compromise the Word Of God at the expense of those we may offend when it comes to taking a stand of Righteousness and Holy living those standards can not be changed regardless of how we feel.
