Dear members
Peter Tonkin here, I’ve ‘borrowed’ the Chair’s Report for this month to bring you up to date with our work, and considerable progress on the MPV program.
The itSMFA Membership Value Program was initiated to continually drive greater value to you as itSMFA members.
That is its purpose!
The MVP working group consists of National itSMF member volunteers from all industry sectors who bring to the table a wide range of industry experience. We meet on a fortnightly basis to progress the MVP initiatives that are in the pipeline, to add new ideas and initiatives to the mix and to critically evaluate our progress. We do this with the blessing of the Board and indeed a number of us are serving Board members.
And if you would like to become a member of a working group, please contact your local itSMF committee representative or [email protected]
The MVP working group is actively working on the following key initiatives:
1. itSMF Mentoring program - The pilot program was launched in early December and that will go through to December 2022. This will support knowledge-sharing and network-building for our members.
There has been an overwhelming response to participate in the pilot program.
2. ITSM complimentary frameworks - A survey of members revealed that there was a high demand for content related to ITIL complementary frameworks for itSMF members to support in order to deliver the best value to customers.
The MVP working group is focusing on ensuring this is reflected in Event and meetup content.
3. Industry Partnerships and Alliances - The working group is working on improving industry partnerships and alliances to increase the value to members.
A recent example has been the announcement of 10% discount on training from nominated training organisations.
The MVP group is a great example of ‘members working for members’. We’re here for you: our mission is to provide service management professionals, as represented by the Membership, with new insights, new opportunities and a stronger sense of community.
And finally, I’d like to thank my fellow MVP members for their efforts and offer my congratulations for all that they have achieved.
Enjoy the magazine, stay safe and be kind to each other.
Cheers, Peter Tonkin.
