Dear members
With the new reality of living with COVID rather than trying to defeat it, we’re now steadily drawing to the stage where most states are coming out of lockdown.
Great news for everyone.
An obvious benefit of this is that we are looking forward to being able to meet face to face once more, to enjoy that human element that has been so significantly lacking these last 20 or so months. Of course given the lessons learned along the way, we’re going to continue to offer remote and Virtual access to our Events.
The acceptance of remote access and Virtual presentations has been one of the more remarkable things about how we have conducted Events recently and indeed we seem to have opened up the learning opportunities they provide to a wider audience. We need to build on this and embrace the chance to broaden our connections.
I am delighted to be able to announce an exciting new partnership and member benefit with Info-Tech. This is merely the first of our new member benefits as we look to add value and our Member Value Working group are working hard on these. Watch out for more information soon including how to access the value added content from Info-Tech.
The planning for our rescheduled Conference in March is back in full flow and Janet Holling and her Conference Committee are working hard on the arrangements. We are pleased to announce that our Gala Dinner will be at the fabulous Brisbane City Hall. There are also 2 years of awards to catch up on, so if you haven’t done so already please get your nominations in for Service Management Innovation of the Year, Service Management Champion of the Year, Service Management Lifetime Contribution & also Branch Volunteer of the year!
For more details check out the awards page on the itSMF website https://www.smconference.com.au/awards/
I can’t believe my next update will be the final one for the year.
I appreciate it hasn’t been easy for some Members and would invite you to make sure the people in your team are travelling OK. And don’t be shy about asking for help for yourself you deserve it.
Enjoy your Bulletin
