Dear Members,

Brendan Cullen has packed a suitcase and taken off on a holiday, leaving me to pen this month’s itSMF Australia message; a very warm hello to you all.

During our July Board meeting this week it was delightful to read the strong registrations we have been recording for our monthly seminars this year.

As a not-for-profit member based organisation our monthly Board meetings are full of the usual due diligence activities a Board must do - understanding our financial position and organisational risk profile, planning, and preparing for our annual income generating event – the itSMF Australia national conference and most importantly discussing the value we provide to you, our members.

On this topic a few initiatives have occurred over the past couple of years within the “MVP” – member value program - the successful Mentoring Program pilot, now in the stages of operationalising as a permanent member value offering, some updates to our member facing technologies and the monthly seminar rhythm, born from your feedback for

consistency in dates to assist with planning your attendance. It is a great achievement from our State Branch volunteers and friends of itSMF Australia who work on these activities in the background, in their own time, out of their love for this community and industry.

It is perhaps timely to then ask you what you would like to see from your membership, what are you enjoying, what can we improve and what great idea might you have about what we could introduce or offer?

One of the joys of being an itSMF member is the opportunity to shape itSMF and the Australian service management industry. We appreciate all feedback you provide and welcome your inputs across all aspects of your membership. Drop us a line, tell us what is on your mind and let’s see if we can make some more member value magic happen.

Enjoy the Bulletin, go well,

Janet Holling
