26 It’s Your Life Magazine floor of the farm kitchen under a heating pad. I found very little life force left in her body. Though her breathing increase and her body moved during the session and she moaned, it was very evident to me that the purpose of the Reiki I gave her that day was to help her pass calmly from this life to the next one. (Dawn and calf photo) Captain I was visiting my adult son in Oregon and his girlfriend took us to the farm where she boards her horse and gives lessons. I offered to give Reiki to Captain, a horse that boards in the same stable. Captain was on high alert that day since a new filly had moved into the stall behind him. He was whinnying loudly, his eyes bulging and thrashing his head trying to see over the stall wall and was generally very agitated. I was able to calm him down and sooth him so that the thrashing and whinnying ended. He accepted Issue 5 the reiki I offered to him, and released some of his agitation by chewing his lips and passing gas. When I left him he was calm and sleepy with his eyes closed. These Reiki treatment examples, each very different from the other, show me indeed that the Reiki healing goes where it is needed and in the manner necessary. Each session is different. I do not prejudge or try to direct the session or the flow of energy; that is up to the animal under my hands and to Spirit. (Captain and Donna Allgaier-Lamberti to accompany bio) I am in its service.
