If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you need to change
something about yourself. Humility is the ability to see oneself through
honest eyes. You want people around you to have freedom to tell you
the truth.
True friends correct one another. I have friends in my life who tell me
about myself – the good, bad, and the ugly. My friends are people who
are honest and able to point out the ugly habits in me that need to be
replaced with new habits and attitudes.
Receiving correction is a signal to people around you that you are growing more mature. Show me a person who hates correction and I will say
that person is a fool.

CORRECTION PREPARES US TO BE THE BEST
Richard Williams is the father of arguably two of the greatest tennis
players to ever live — Venus and Serena. Richard made sure to place
Venus and Serena on the public tennis courts when they were young. He
also placed them into California tournaments where they would be challenged and when he did not see sufficient growth Richard pulled them
out and personally coached them. Being that Venus and Serena were so
young, it was in their best interest to listen to their Father when he gave
them his coaching. Venus and Serena's father showed them the proper
way to improve their game and corrected the wrong areas. If these two
young women would have been headstrong or stubborn and not listened
to the correction of their father and their other teachers, I do not believe
they would be rated at the top of the tennis world today.
Correction from a trusted source is not meant to destroy you, but rather
to help you. A person who can hear correction and look at their self (to
see whether it is true or false) is the person who will go far in life.
Learn to receive honest correction.
