RULE #14
Guard your gates
I
n the ancient world, the gates of cities were considered to be of high
importance. If the city gate could be stormed through, then the city
could be easily taken over by enemies.
Each one of us has gates that serve as entryways. These gates must be
protected. We have ear gates, eye gates, nose gates, a mouth gate and
very important tools below our waist.
If you don’t guard your gates, your state of mind can be altered to a
state where you lose control. It is not in your best interest to be a person who is out of control of what is happening in your body. You might
be surrounded with people in your school who pop pills, drink alcohol
underage, and experiment with all kinds of drugs.
Did you know that your body is valuable? Drugs bring a false sense
of peace. When a person gets high, they feel a fake sense of peace. But
after coming down from the high, guess what? All their problems are
still there.
