WHAT TYPE OF COURSE COULD I DO?

Bachelor Degree Courses( e. g. BA or BSc)
· Usually 3-4 years.
· Studied at university.
Foundation Degrees
· Usually 2 years( longer if part-time).
· Often lower entry requirements than a bachelor’ s degree.
· Studied at college or university.
· Combination of academic and professional skills, often focused on a particular vocation.
· Can be used as a stepping stone to‘ top-up’ to a full university degree.
HNC / HND
· Higher National Certificate( HNC), a one-year work-related course, is equivalent to the first year of a university degree programme.
· Higher National Diploma( HND) is a two-year, work-related course, which is equivalent to the first two years of a bachelors degree.
· Could be an option if you’ re not ready to commit to a full degree, as you may be able to‘ top up’ to a full bachelors degree at university.
Degree Apprenticeship
· A way to earn a full university degree while working in a real job.
· You’ re employed by a company, earn a salary, and study parttime with a university. Your tuition fees are paid for by the employer and the government.
· This route is competitive and entry requirements are often high.
· Applications may still be open after results day, so it’ s worth researching what’ s available and getting support from your school or college careers team.
