IML label can be separated easily from the container during the mechanical recycling stage in order to obtain quality recycled materials in white or natural colour like the original virgin material. The side-entry automation unit completes the IML process in just 1.95 seconds, and also carries out visual inspection with three cameras and the automatic unloading of pieces in cartons via a six-axis cobot. The press is equipped with a 45 mm plasticising screw that generates a specific pressure of 2,000 bar, necessary for filling and compacting items with 0.36 mm thin walls. All axes are servo-assisted, and the overlapping movements allow for shorter cycle times for the production of pieces with a constant weight of 3.4 grams.
EKW28PI / 1300 HYBRID PRESS FOR 400-ML CONTAINERS The fourth moulding cell accommodates an eKW- 28Pi / 1300 Hybrid press dedicated to the production of 400-ml food containers, featuring a clamping force of 2800 kN, a 6-cavity mould and a cycle time of approximately 3.9 seconds. This machine will be showcased at the stand of Enelkon( Hall 12 – Stand A43), a partner company that shares BMB’ s goal of delivering high performance and maximum accuracy. This model was developed to meet the end customer’ s
real-world production needs, maximising the knowledge of Enelkon, Eramould, and BMB itself. The particularly thin walls of the container prevent the use of injection speeds typical of electric presses, so that the 280-ton hybrid press guarantees an ideal balance between productivity and energy efficiency. The latter is supported by the iQ-Pump, which reduces consumption by approximately 20 % compared to the basic hybrid version. This production cell also features visual inspection, automatic unloading in cartons of pieces produced using IML technology, and an integrated cobot. Enelkon has established a long-standing fruitful partnership with BMB, always aiming at the highest levels of technology and reliability.
