ECONOMY AND MARKET
Koinos Uno sells 100 % of Impact Formulators Group to Delta Tecnic
Koinos Capital SGR, an independent multi-strategy investment firm founded by Francesco Fumagalli, Marco Morgese and Marco Airoldi and chaired by Beppe Fumagalli, has completed its first exit. The fund Koinos Uno has sold 100 % of its portfolio company, Impact Formulators Group( IFG) – a leading Italian platform in the production of additive and colorant masterbatches – to Delta Tecnic S. A., just twenty months after the initial acquisition. This exit reflects the distinctive entrepreneurial approach of Koinos Capital SGR, which is focused on creating Italian sector champions through buy & build strategies. It also highlights the shared vision with the entrepreneurs of the various companies integrated into IFG, who consistently reinvested in the holding, supporting its ambitious development project. IFG was established in 2023 by
Marco Morgese, CEO of Koinos Capital SGR
Koinos through the aggregation of three key players in the sector: Ultrabatch S. r. l., specialised in functional additive masterbatches for agriculture; Masterbatch S. r. l., focused on flame-retardant additive masterbatches; and Eurocolor, a producer of colorant masterbatches. Since its founding, IFG – thanks in part to significant investments in technology and automation – has successfully scaled the Italian market, quickly expanding its portfolio across various additive masterbatch applications. These aim to enhance polymer performance through specific characteristics such as UV stabilizers, anti-fogging agents, antiblocking agents, slip agents, processing aids, antistatics, and flame retardants.
Tobias Baur and Alessandro Grassi confirmed as new Euromap Presidency
On occasion of the Euromap General Assembly in Stuttgart, Germany, the European plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers have elected their new presidency. Tobias Baur, CSO of the German injection moulding specialist Arburg GmbH & Co KG, is the new President of the European umbrella association. Alessandro Grassi, Share holder and CEO of Frigosystem S. R. L., the Italian temperature control equipment manufacturer, is on board as Vice President. They succeed President Luciano Anceschi, Tria S. p. A., and Vice President Michael Baumeister, Brückner Group, who retired last year. The new Presidency promotes closer cooperation between industry at European level. Europe and the plastics industry are facing challenging times, and the industry must act as one. The important transformation of the plastics industry towards a circular economy needs a roadmap that is ambitious but also takes the industry along and involves it. This will be even more successful the more consistently the industry positions itself. The successful work to date in the direction of standardisation( Euromap standards), data collection and exchange as well as trade fair cooperation is to be continued consistently. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Luciano Anceschi for his excellent, reliable and fruitful cooperation over the last twenty years, first as Vice-President and for the last 13 years as Euromap President. With him, Euromap had a leader who focused on www. plastmagazine. it
