closed with solid and growing figures, confirming its role as a key event for the sustainable plastic and rubber industry. The event, hosted at Fiera Milano on 5,500 sq. m, was attended above all by plant manufacturers( 60 % of exhibitors), followed by producers of raw materials( 22 %) and processors( 18 %). Mario Maggiani, CEO of Promaplast – the organiser of the event – stated:“ Despite this complex period for various sectors, we exceeded the results of the last edition. It is a clear signal of the interest and desire to innovate within the supply chain.” Thanks to the cooperation with ICE-Agenzia, delegations of buyers from around 20 countries in Europe, the Mediterranean basin and the Middle East arrived at GreenPlast along with over 100 operators specialised in the production and recycling of plastics. At the centre, the international conference“ Shaping a Sustainable Future for Plastics”, promoted by AMI( Applied Market Information) and Promaplast to address the key issues for the supply chain: from waste management to mechanical and chemical recycling, from eco-design to bioplastics, from marine pollution to the use of |
artificial intelligence to reduce environmental impact. The programme also included panel discussions with brand owners, retailers, producers of raw materials and converters from sectors in which plastic is widely used such as the automotive and the building industry, as well as packaging. The“ Tech Talks” initiative also raised much interest, with the exhibitors offering a look at the most advanced solutions for production and environmental efficiency. Finally, the works showcased at the Art & Plastics area demonstrated that plastic is a material capable of enjoying a second life in art, conveying messages of sustainability and circularity. Next appointment with GreenPlast: from May 28 to June 1, 2028. |
PACKAGING, PRINTING, LOGISTICS The programme of Ipack-Ima( 1,300 exhibitors from 28 countries hosted in 8 halls) dedicated to technologies for food and non-food processing and packaging, highlighted equally fundamental themes for plastics:“ The strong participation”, stated CEO Simone Castelli,“ demonstrates the willingness of the industry to evolve and develop its business. Ipack-Ima is a safe ecosystem where the operators can meet, discuss and focus on cutting-edge and sustainable solutions.“ These goals were also shared by Print4All( 245 exhibitors from 17 countries), which aimed to confirm itself as a hub for innovation in the plastics printing and converting segments, highlighting |
new materials and digital solutions, as recalled by Enrico Barboglio, director of Acimga and Argi:“ A concrete platform to showcase the technological excellence of companies but also to jointly address the transformations that are redesigning the market, from the green transition to growing automation.” Of equal importance were the signals from Intralogistica Italia( 112 exhibitors, 22 % from abroad), the only Italian event dedicated to industrial handling and warehouse logistics, presented by Andreas Zuege, general manager of the Italian branch of Hannover Fairs International GmbH:“ The growth of e-commerce and derisking strategies and the progressive shortening of supply chains are transforming the logistics landscape: the number of warehouses is increasing and technologies are evolving.” The four events shared strategic drivers such as the increasingly impactful role of artificial intelligence, digital transformation in production processes, traceability and predictive maintenance, while cybersecurity emerged as a critical factor. This exhibition also offered an extensive programme of side events dedicated to training: conferences, professional updating and dialogue between companies to guide innovation and the development of technical-digital skills. The Innovation Alliance 2025 thus confirmed itself both as a showcase of technologies and as a strategic platform for the growth of human capital, the promotion of Italian technologies and the strengthening of the industrial competitiveness of Italy at an international level. |
