CORPORATE RENEWAL WITH AN EYE TO THE FUTURE

BD Plast , manufacturer of screen changers and filtration systems for the plastics industry , is currently going through a phase of profound renewal . At its general headquarters in Bondeno ( near Ferrara ), it is in the process of installing new high-tech machine tools to carry out increasingly precise mechanical machining , and also improving the quality controls carried out on the already excellent components , most of which are produced internally . Furthermore , its second automatic spare parts warehouse has been operational for several months now , allowing the company to guarantee customers even more efficient and timely responses . “ Customer demand for our products is extremely high ” explains Dino Boicelli , business development & marketing , “ even though there continue to be some critical issues within the market which are slowing down delivery times . The main difficulties are with the availability of materials of different kinds , from electronics to steel . Nevertheless , we always strive to satisfy customer requests in the best possible way and promptly .”
There is no doubt the market appreciates this strategy . “ In 2021 we produced a total of 1,400 machines ” Boicelli says . “ This result is thanks , in part , to the fact that we have a wide and complete range of screen changers , from the manual version to automatic ones , that cover all needs in the field of polymer filtration . Added to which , of course , we are able to offer customisation even to the most specific requests . This is an important aspect . In fact , only 10 % of what we build are repeats of previous systems .”
IDEAS FOR A CHANGE Stefano Gallieni , general manager , has been with BD Plast for about one year with the task of supporting the company ’ s transformation process and the entry , with Dino Boicelli , of the third generation at the helm of the company . “ The company aims to transform its organisation ” Gallieni says . “ A plan has therefore been defined that indicates the different
