Significantly reducing non-recoverable plastic waste and encouraging the use of regenerated material while trying to reduce the use of virgin raw materials : this is the mission of Caldara Plast , which was established on the market back in 1963 , as a forerunner of the modern circular economy concept , by Innocente Caldara who , with remarkable foresight , created an enterprise devoted to the recovery , regeneration and sale of plastic materials , initially headquartered in Caslino d ’ Erba ( near Como ). After decades of success during which the company built up its client base , its production facilities were moved to a new site in Erba occupying a total of 9 thousand square metres , including 2,500 square metres under cover . Here , the Brianza-based company was able to expand its business by also adding , the following year , its first regrinding mills . In 2007 , it doubled its 2005 turnover . 2011 saw the inauguration of the second headquarters , in Alzate Brianza ( near Como ), which led to the development of the two current branches of the company , namely the Recovery Division , based in Erba , which deals with the grinding of processing scraps and other waste plastics , and the Compound Division in Alzate , which specialises in the production and processing of plastic pellets , in particular from regenerated first choice plastic materials and engineering plastics .
STRENGTHENING PRODUCTION In time , under the guidance of Innocente ’ s sons Massimiliano , Attilio and Alessandro , who over the years have gained a deep knowledge of the sector , Caldara Plast has developed new ecocompatible plastic grades and enhanced its extrusion lines . All this in order to guarantee compliance with high operating standards for its partners , focusing on ISO 9001 : 2015 and ISO 14001 : 2015 process certifications . At the same time , product certificates were also obtained for the Caldara 2nd Life family that includes compounds certified under
