During the Open House event held from 22 to 26 January at „ The House of Extrusion “ inside the headquarters of Costruzioni Meccaniche Luigi Bandera in Busto Arsizio ( near Varese ), to present the company ’ s new products , Massimo Santini , sales director , and Andrea Gorla , marketing and communication manager , commented the latest market developments . As always , the strengths of Bandera are blown and flat head film extrusion solutions for packaging ( rigid and flexible ) and converting applications , with a focus on recycling and pelletisation . The event , mainly dedicated to US customers , recorded an excellent turnout , with the highly appreciated participation of players from the DACH area ( Germany , Austria and Switzerland ), in addition to the numerous Italian visitors . The focus was on the Techno FleX PO5 project , aimed at revolutionising the extrusion technology for different packaging solutions , a speciality of Bandera within a wide portfolio
of plants and machines . Considerable interest and curiosity was also aroused by the presentation of the new twin-screw blown film system , now in the marketing phase after careful studies . The Techno FleX PO5 5-layer extrusion line attracted many customers specialising in the stretch-hood segment . It is a line designed for the US market and which will be exhibited live at the NPE 2024 fair in Orlando , in a configuration similar to the one shown at Plast 2023 in Milan , both functionally and aesthetically except for some minor changes : always flexible for different formulations , supported by the ANY MA supervision software ( developed in-house by Bandera ), and sporting a new design . An additional plus in favour of the circular economy is that this line , equipped with the Trim FleX ancillary system , allows the total recovery of trimmings .
