The market trend is showing signs of slowing down after three very intense years that have put a strain on the production capacity and delivery times of BMB , against a backdrop characterised by difficulties in procuring machine components , a problem that has not yet been completely solved with regard to some specific parts . The general slowdown , involving not only the Italian market , but also the main European countries , is partly caused by the downsizing of incentives related to the Industry 4.0 scheme which in past years significantly helped the development of investments . However , BMB ‘ s order book is still full and the global market scenario tends to fall within its usual canons . This is the case , for example , of packaging , a segment that has always been very dynamic and continues to attract investments , albeit with greater caution . A further factor of development is the need for many compa- nies to renew their machine park , which is sometimes obsolete , for example by introducing energy-efficient equipment and systems , replacing hydraulic injection moulding machines with hybrid or full electric ones . Energy efficiency is often accompanied by the strong integration of the various machines according to the Industry 4.0 philosophy , with the aim of deploying the most efficient processes in line with the latest industry standards .
ONGOING INNOVATION At BMB , product innovation knows no rest . In recent years , the attention of engineers has been focused on the development of injection moulding machines equipped with platens with a wider span between the tiebars , a feature increasingly requested by the market that allows large moulds to be accommodated on smaller machines . Every machine with a clamping force of up to 850 tonnes there-
