This situation was also favoured by the very low transport costs for the goods imported from Asia . But the upheaval of the logistics sector , combined with an increased demand for raw materials in the wake of the pandemic , has contributed to destabilizing the established rules of demand throughout the world . As a result , the flow of raw materials to Europe has undergone a drastic downsizing , as well as incoming volumes , determining an inevitable increase in commodity prices . VP Italia , which must also deal with the same difficulties as other market players , has been able to respond promptly thanks to the virtuous management of the stocks in its warehouse and for this reason has been able to meet the customers ’ demand . Vito Gatto assures : „ Our company has always diversified the products offered to the market and in our portfolio we have a complete range in the field of thermoplastic polymers . With over 30,000 tons of materials sold through the distribution and production channels , combined with the acquisition of the two PET production units , today the VP Italia group is even more flexible and ready to take up the challenges of an ever changing market .”
BIODEGRADABLE MATERIALS The innovation in VP Italia ’ s catalogue concerns green polymers . Gatto explains : „ We have in fact reached a distribution agreement for the Italian market with

Tuhne , which is one of the world major producers of bio materials . We can offer our customers a complete range in the various sectors of application of biodegradable materials , divided into four categories of products : injection moulding , extrusion of plates , extrusion of films and production of straws .“
PRODUCTION EXPANSION 2021 has allowed VP Italia to further establish itself on the market . „ The provisional figures of the third quarter ,” Gatto says “ indicate that we can be fully satisfied with the results achieved so far . An increasing number of customers who
