Hornets
Brown will enter this season as the Hornets’ No. 1 running back and will be a staple of how this offense will go this season. Brown was dominant last season for the Hornets and will need to build on the way Birks as the second-string guy.
The real question will be what Adolphe can do under center as the focal point of the offense for an entire year. Adolphe started four games last season, two of which were playoff games, for the Hornets and showed he is capable of doing it.
While he only started two games under center, he also played in all 12 games in some format as a running back or returner. But he is still a sophomore off the field.
“ Zay is who he is for a reason. He has high expectations of himself, but he is very neutral. That is great for a quarterback,” Moebes said.“ Every part of his game is going to need to continue to develop. Knowing the potential of his growth and what he could do through this season and next season. I think that is exciting. He’ s done what next-level quarterbacks do as a sophomore.”
Jerious Singletary is another big name for this Hornet offense as a tight end. He brings a lot of options to the table as a pass catcher, run blocker and potentially even a defensive end, like in the past.
The Hornets will open their 2025 campaign with a road trip to Brenham to open the season in a top-10 matchup between Huntsville and the Cubs. Huntsville is ranked No. 8 in the Dave Campbell’ s Texas Football poll, and Brenham is ranked No. 3 in the same poll.
