9-4 Network 9-4-1 Network architecture A “network” is a form of using multiple computers by connecting them with a cable. A network provides the following functions that cannot be achieved by using a single standalone computer or personal computer. Chapter 9 ●Sharing of resources A network enables the sharing of software resources such as programs and data, and hardware resources such as storage devices and printers.
