Underground Railroad Bicycle Route
The 2,006.5-mile Underground Railroad Bicycle Route was created by the nonprofit organization Adventure Cycling. From Mobile, Alabama, to Owen Sound, Ontario, the trail memorializes the Underground Railroad, a network of secret routes by which escaped slaves attempted to reach freedom in the North before and during the Civil War. One of the route’ s first stops is a marker right here in Itawamba County.
Tenn-Tom Walking Track
The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Walking Track provides a scenic avenue for exercise and outdoors enthusiasts alike to enjoy. The 2.2- mile track runs alongside the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in Fulton.
