Located on the western shore of Lake Como facing the pretty resort of Bellagio , the Grand Hotel Tremezzo was built in 1910 and is a charming example of turn�of�the�century Liberty�style architecture . Set above the lakeside road which runs between the hotel and the lake , it is a favoured for its particularly mild climate and beautiful gardens . This part of the lake is called the Riviera delle Azalee and the scenery is resplendent with whites and pinks when these flowers blossom in late winter and early spring . The hotel entrance is set above the road and reached by lift , meaning that the public rooms such as the T Bar terrace , La Terrazza restaurant , lobby and lounges enjoy magnificent panoramic views . The Grand Hotel has three heated swimming pools , one of which floats on the lake with sand ' beach ', loungers and a T beach bar and restaurant .
