Live The History

Italy is one of the most historically important countries to the American populace. It's the birthplace of Columbus, the home of Vatican City located in the heart of Rome, Italy and the origins of one of the most beloved cuisines in the United States.

Consider some of the other incredible visions of beauty that can only be found in Italy. For instance, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the famed works of Michelangelo, the beauty of St. Mark's Square, the majesty of the Roman Coliseum and the awe-inspiring Mount Vesuvius.

Places to Visit in Italy

While you will no doubt want to see most, if not all, of the locations we've already detailed, Italy is home to hundreds of opportunities to be inspired and awe-struck. You could spend a month on her beautiful shores and still only capture a fraction of her allure promise. Some other places of interest and beauty you will want to try and visit include:

The Aquarium in Genoa - Recently renovated by renowned architect Renzo Piano, the Aquarium is one of the largest and most advanced of its kind in the world.

The National Motor Car Museum in Turin - With 170 automobiles permanently parked within its building, the National Car Museum presents a detailed history lesson on one of mankind's favorite inventions.

Touring Italy

Getting around Italy on trains or taxi cabs is not hard at all. There are plenty of public transportation choices available including buses, subways and trains. Most cities have a day pass you can buy that will entitle you to ride the public system as often as you like on that day. Week-long passes are also available.

Car rentals are another popular travel method in Italy. However, most roads are toll roads and the speed limt must be obeyed.
