An announcement is made of the engagement of Juliet Capulet to Count Paris, on Monday June 8th 1596, Both of Verona, Italy

The bride, Juliet, is the only daughter of the rich Capulet family who was brought up for most of her life by her nurse. Her family is well known throughout Verona, especially because of the feud that the family has with the Montague family.

The groom, Count Paris is the handsome, wealthy kinsman of Prince Escalus. Paris pronounced his love for Juliet twice to her father before being granted his wish by old Capulet, Juliet’s father.

The Capulet household has prepared for the wedding by hiring the greatest bakers in all of Verona to bake the most delicious pastries and seeking out the finest musicians in the country to play for the ceremony.

Count Paris and Young Juliet Capulet will be united together on Wednesday, June 10th 1596 at the San Pierto church in Verona, Italy by Friar Laurence.
