IN SERVICE OF INJECTION MOULDING “ Also worthy of note ,” Zilioli continues , “ is the QE1008-W system by Sensormate , a Swiss company in the Gefran Group active in the development , production and sale of industrial sensors . The system is a complete set that includes distortion sensors which can be assembled easily and rapidly in their position thanks to magnetic press-on technology . It is the ideal solution for machinery manufacturers and injection moulders for measuring the distortion of tiebars and at the same time the clamping force on the mould , in order to know , in real time , if energy or force is being wasted on the four tiebars , or if the tiebars are not perfectly balanced causing flash in the product because the two mould halves do not fit perfectly . The QE1008-W system is completely wireless : this results into faster set up and adjustment times in addition to energy saving , as a great pressure is not needed for the mould halves to fit . Moreover , the new release of the QE1008- W app means everything can be managed via a smartphone . The addition of these functions has drawn particularly positive feedback from those customers who have many machines and must , therefore , continually perform mould changes , also because of the very short payback times .”
