In 1963 in the heart of Brianza , Innocente Caldara , a real pioneer of the circular economy who unfortunately passed away last January , founded his own family enterprise , Caldara Plast Srl , headquartered in Erba , near Como . Right from the start , the company has focused on the creation of a virtuous cycle with the purpose of preserving the Earth ’ s resources by reusing what has long been regarded as waste , giving it a second life in its production processes . More than half a century after , this process is going on , unstoppable , and the company – which has now become a middle-size business and one of the major players on the Italian market , with 50 employees and a constantly growing turnover – is still pursuing the same goal under the management of the founder ’ s sons , Massimiliano , Attilio and Alessandro Caldara . The company ’ s story goes on following a constant strategy : working every day with the goal of enhancing the plastics regeneration process by investing in high-tech converting equipment , carrying out continuous research and quality improvement , and hiring qualified employees . Caldara ’ s mission is to give waste a second life . Today , this can no longer be a fallback , but the first choice of any company taking to heart the environment , with the added value of obtaining recycled products featuring high quality and aesthetic properties while saving the natural resources that the use of virgin raw materials would require .
