The new IPM machine is not only able to socket PP pipes of this size permanently , but has been designed to ensure very high production rates . Thanks to the modifications to the hydraulics , downtime has been minimized , and the machine ’ s cycle times have been speeded up accordingly . From the viewpoint of energy saving , in addition to the contact heaters , which are insulated to reduce heat dispersion , a short-wave heater has been added on the machine in order to |
guarantee higher production rates and energy saving , as this heater is switched on only when the pipe enters the machine thus avoiding heat dispersion . As regards the process optimization , a lubrication system has been adopted that meters the amount of lubricant needed in an accurate and repeatable manner .
GASKET INSERTION The automatic gasket inserter can handle up to two pipes at the same time and can be equipped with a special patented device to check the gasket tightness in order to individuate and reject defective sockets . This solution eliminates any manual operation for the insertion and / or control of the gasket

and allows the finished pipes to be fed to the new automatic packaging systems , thus ensuring the total automation of the line . In particular , the automatic packaging system takes care of introducing the pipes into wooden frames , cardboard , iron boxes and plastic crates , or wrap them in polyethylene film , meeting the demands of an increasingly large clientele while ensuring limited footprint , high performance , and maximum safety . In order to adapt the line to the space available at the premises of the various customers while maintaining the high performance required , IPM engineers have used Cartesian systems , anthropomorphic arms , vacuum collection systems , and new safety systems for the operators . |
