A look at some of the workshops
that were hosted recently.
British Murder Mysteries
with Alex Woods
In this workshop, the students were first of all
introduced to the 'Murder Mystery' genre and
given some context of its popularity in British
culture.
They then played a series of games, including
'Guess Who?', 'Are you a good witness?' and 'Solve
the murder', before ending with a 'Sherlock' quiz.
All of these relied on testing the memory,
descriptive skills and problem solving abilities.
Peace Songs
with Gareth Siu
The students looked at what peace means to
them and listened to songs related to both inner
and external peace. They then had discussions
and participated in listening activities.The
workshop ended with the chance to create their
own music videos.!
The result was that the students’ discussion and
critical thinking skills were enhanced through
analyzing the lyrics of songs and their reactions
to them.
