She thought of 2:51 in the morning of February 17th
Some years ago when he informed her They should no longer be together
“Always support u” looking back at her through her screen
Picking up her phone and typing his name hurt
So was realising the last text only got a single grey tick
It was 3:25 already by the time she stopped deciding
She thought of school. The 8:30 lessons, running across the campus
Signing in to class in time before grabbing breakfast
Under the pretence of being excused for “personal reasons” for a while
Now she was trained to recluse behind a black screen of names
Her only interaction with people
Maybe it was the disguise to shield herself from being weird
