Mental clarity on a Blursday
A poem by: LAI, Rachel
It was 3am when she turned the lights on 3:02 when
warm water touched her throat
Drowning in her tears, breaking down
It was nothing but a bad dream
She told herself to stay afloat
The pandemic, the war, the disasters
She tried to imagine the mirage of life as-is
She knew whatever is happening out there was not
Beyond solitude, but it was 3:16 already and she
could not call anyone
